London travel disruption this weekend: full list of tube and train closures for June 27-28 2026

After a week of blistering heatwave, this weekend London will, mercifully, cool down a little. Peak temperatures are dropping to around 26C-32C, which is far more manageable – whether you’re off to a stadium concert (Harry Styles and Take That are both playing) or watching the World Cup.

If you’re planning on taking the tube to travel around London this weekend, there are several notable planned closures to know about. From the Piccadilly and District lines to the DLR and several Overground routes, a few TfL services will be majorly disrupted.

But don’t let a few tube closures hamper your weekend plans. Here’s Time Out’s weekly guide to this weekend’s planned travel disruption in London (and how to avoid it).
