Reckon that Gorillaz’ latest album The Mountain is one of the best of the year so far? Us too. And this weekend Damon Albarn and Jamie Hewlett’s virtual band are in London to mark the release of that record with a mahoosive show at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium.
Albarn and co’s show in N17 is the only Gorillaz stadium date scheduled for the UK this summer. The band is currently on the European festival circuit, having played Primavera Sound (in Barcelona and Porto) and with sets still to come at Denmark’s Roskilde, Belgium’s Rock Werchter and more.
While the current Gorillaz tour focuses a lot on the band’s most recent album, don’t think that they’re neglecting older hits. The likes of ‘On Melancholy Hill’, ‘Feel Good Inc’, ‘Rhinestone Eyes’ and ‘Clint Eastwood’ have all been making a regular appearance in the setlist.
Heading to Spurs to see Gorillaz this weekend? Here’s everything you need to know about the show, from doors and start time to special guests, the potential setlist and last-minute ticket availability.
