Live Jazz Jam // Rio Kai Quartet on Wednesday 3rd June 2020Led by Mercury Prize nominated Rio Kai, Grow’s house band and special guests return each week for Hackney’s premier Jazz jam.After an incredible 2019, Grow’s house band and special guests return for 2020 for this intimate jazz jam with 2 sets and DJ Jazzintime spinning vinyl in between.

The house band is led by Mercury Prize nominated, Rio Kai with Boris Latinov on guitar and more.

These musicians bring you a fresh and energetic approach to mainly a hardbop jazz repertoire with jazz classics and their own compositions. And for those musicians out there, you can join them on stage to jam.

From the bar, we have speakeasy cocktails, craft and organic drinks.
The menu is inspired by Middle Eastern and Mediterranean flavours with a comforting autumn twist. We source locally and sustainably wherever possible, use compostable packaging we the team are paid a minimum of London living wage.

About Grow, Hackney
Carved out of an old sausage factory, Grow has been transformed into an independent canal side bar, kitchen and creative space. It was built, and is run by a small team. We operate as a ethical and sustainable business and rely on the creative sharing economy of Hackney Wick and the surrounding area. We partner with artists, musicians, DJ’s and community groups to and hold as many free events as we can.
