All Wetherspoons pubs in England are now offering pints of ale for under £1 until boozers close at 10pm on Wednesday, ahead of lockdown part two. Whatever isn’t sold before then will be disposed of, so the idea is to reduce as much waste as possible by practically giving drinks away. A whopping 70 million pints were wasted in March, and in order to prevent losing more than is absolutely necessary this time around, Wetherspoons is taking drastic measures.
