Carnaby Street has revealed its Christmas lights for 2023

You know its officially Christmas time in London when Carnaby Street gets dressed up to the nines like a Christmas tree. Usually dripping in glitter, the Carnaby Christmas Lights are a bit of a London icon, attracting people from all over to marvel at the kaleidoscopic illuminations.

Crimbo lights fans will be excited to hear that Carnaby Street has officially revealed its Christmas display for 2023. This year’s theme is ‘Carnaby Universe’, where a solar system of neon lights will be strung up in the sky above Carnaby’s brilliant shops. It’ll be turned on officially on Thursday November 2.

In a statement, Carnaby Street said: ‘Visitors will be immersed in a dynamic and vibrant display of neon colour and light waves creating a moving vortex on Carnaby Street.’

Sounds exciting. Once again, the shopping street is also partnering with refugee charity Choose Love. The Choose Love pop-up store will open on Carnaby Street from November 22, where visitors will be able to buy essential supplies and life-saving interventions for refugees and displaced people around the world. There will also be Choose Love merch for sale, which will raise funds for the winter months when help is needed the most.

The annual Carnaby Street Christmas Switch On will take place from 4pm to 8pm on Thursday November 2.
